ミュージケアーズ・パーソン・オブ・ザ・イヤー（MusiCares Person of the Year）は、グラミー賞を主催するナショナル・アカデミー・オブ・レコーディング・アーツ・アンド・サイエンスが、音楽家の音楽業界における芸術的功績と慈善活動に対する献身性を讃えて毎年授与する賞[1][2]。賞の名称は、同アカデミーが「困窮する音楽家に健康面や医療面で支援することを目的」に設立した非営利の医療組織であるミュージケアーズを反映している[3]。ミュージケアーズ基金によって選ばれた受賞者は「グラミー・ウィーク」（グラミー賞授賞式に先立ち行われる一連のガーラ）期間中に開催される、基金の収益性向上を目的としたオールスター・トリビュート・コンサートで授与される[4][5][6]。

1991年から1993年にかけてのミュージケアーズ・パーソン・オブ・ザ・イヤーは、アメリカの音楽家であるデヴィッド・クロスビー、ボニー・レイット、ナタリー・コールに授与された。1994年にはキューバ系アメリカ人歌手であるグロリア・エステファンが受賞。以降、トニー・ベネット、クインシー・ジョーンズが続いた。1997年から2004年の間はフィル・コリンズ、エルトン・ジョン、スティングらイギリスの音楽家のほか、イタリア人オペラ歌手のルチアーノ・パヴァロッティ、アメリカの音楽家スティーヴィー・ワンダー、ポール・サイモン、ビリー・ジョエル、アイルランドの音楽家であるボノに授与されている。2005年から2009年にかけてはブライアン・ウィルソン、ジェームス・テイラー、ドン・ヘンリー、アレサ・フランクリン、ニール・ダイアモンドらアメリカの音楽家が続いた。2010年にカナダの音楽家であるニール・ヤング、2011年にはバーブラ・ストライサンド、2012年にはポール・マッカートニー、2013年にはブルース・スプリングスティーンがそれぞれ名誉に与った。キャロル・キングは2014年、ボブ・ディランは2015年に受賞。2018年にはグループとして初めてフリートウッド・マックが受賞。2019年にはカントリー・アーティストとして初めてドリー・パートンが受賞している。
