アル・ジャロウ（Alwyn Lopez "Al" Jarreau、1940年3月12日－）はアメリカのジャズ・ボーカリスト。ポップ分野でも活躍。
広い声域に、ソフトかつ伸びやかな歌声と卓越したボーカル・テクニックを持ち、中でもスキャットは特技ともいえるほど優れた個性を確立している。

略歴 [編集]
ウィスコンシン州ミルウォーキー出身。アイオワ大学で心理学を学び、数年間はカウンセラーの仕事をしていた。後にロサンゼルスへ渡り、ジャズ・クラブで歌い始める。1975年にワーナー／リプリーズからデビュー。1978年にLook to the Rainbowが、1979年にAll Fly Homeがグラミー賞の最優秀ジャズ・ボーカル・アルバム賞を受賞した。
1980年からはジェイ・グレイドンやナイル・ロジャース、ナラダ・マイケル・ウォルデンらのプロデュースの下、AOR／ブラック・コンテンポラリー路線でポップ分野でのヒットも生み、1982年にはBreakin' Awayでグラミー賞の最優秀男性ポップ・ボーカル賞と"(Round, Round, Round) Blue Rondo A La Turk"で最優秀ジャズ・ボーカル賞を、1993年にはHeaven and Earthで最優秀R&Bボーカルを受賞した。この功績によりジャズ、ポップ、R&Bの3部門にまたがってグラミー賞を獲得した、最初の個人となる。
1985年にはUSAフォー・アフリカに参加し、ウィ・アー・ザ・ワールドのブリッジ部分でリードボーカルをとった。
1999年にワーナー／リプリーズからヴァーヴ傘下のGRPに移籍。ジャズ寄りの作品も発表している。
2006年にはギタリスト兼ヴォーカリストのジョージ・ベンソンとの共作、"Givin' It Up"を発表しており、自己のヒットナンバー、"Mornin'"をカバーしている。
2010年7月に公演先のフランスで呼吸障害で倒れ、病院に搬送。「重篤な状態」とも報道されたが、順調に回復[1]。9月には日本で元気な姿で公演も行われた。
