イギリスの国章（イギリスのこくしょう、Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom）とは、イギリス（連合王国）の正式な国章であり、また、イギリス国王（現在：エリザベス女王）の紋章でもある。
王族・政府には、この紋章と共通する要素をもつ別の紋章がある。イギリス国王は、スコットランド国王としての紋章も有している。
デザイン
イングランドを象徴するライオンとスコットランドを象徴するユニコーンが盾を支えている。イギリスの古くからの伝説では、ユニコーンはとても危険な獣のため、この国章では鎖でつながれている。
盾の中に2組配された金色の獅子3頭はイングランド王室紋章、金の地に赤い獅子はスコットランドの紋章、竪琴はアイルランドの紋章である。盾の上には、冠をかぶったライオンがいる。獅子のかぶっている冠は、イギリスの代表的な冠で、このライオンはイギリスを守っている、という意味がある。
盾の下に生えているバラ(テューダー・ローズ)、アザミ、シャムロックはそれぞれイングランド、スコットランド、アイルランドの象徴している。
盾の周囲はガーター勲章で、フランス語で "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE"（英: "Evil to him who evil thinks", "Spurned be the one who evil thinks", or "Shame upon him who thinks evil upon it"、思い邪なる者災いあれ）の文字が記され、下部のリボンにはイギリス（とイングランド）の "DIEU ET MON DROIT"（英: God and my right、神と我が権利）という標語が記されている。
紋章記述
イギリスの国章の正式な紋章記述は次のとおり。
- Quarterly, first and fourth Gules three lions passant gardant in pale Or armed and langued Azure (for England), second quarter Or a lion rampant within a double tressure flory-counter-flory Gules (for Scotland), third quarter Azure a harp Or stringed Argent (for Ireland), the whole surrounded by the Garter; for a Crest, upon the Royal helm the imperial crown Proper, thereon a lion statant gardant Or imperially crowned Proper; Mantling Or and ermine; for Supporters, dexter a lion rampant gardant Or crowned as the Crest, sinister a unicorn Argent armed, crined and unguled Proper, gorged with a coronet Or composed of crosses patée and fleurs de lis a chain affixed thereto passing between the forelegs and reflexed over the back also Or. Motto 'Dieu et mon Droit' in the compartment below the shield, with the Union rose, shamrock and thistle engrafted on the same stem.[1]
