Behavior Interactive Inc. （ビヘイビア・インタラクティブ）は、家庭用ゲーム機、携帯型ゲーム機、パーソナルコンピューター用の2Dと3Dのアクション及びアドベンチャーゲームの制作に特化したカナダのゲーム開発スタジオ。
歴史[編集]
同社は1992年にケベック市でMegatoonとして設立された[2]。2年後、レミ・ラシン等がモントリオールに拠点を置くMultimedia Interactive（MMI）を共同設立し、CD-ROM用のインタラクティブエンターテイメントソフトウェアを開発した[3]。1996年に両社はMalofilm Communicationsに売却され、1年後にBehavior Interactiveに統合された。1999年、Racineと一部の投資家はスタジオを買い戻したが、スタジオ名を改名しなければならなかったため2000年に名称をArtificial Mind＆Movement Inc（A2M）に変更した。2008年11月、同社はサンティアゴを拠点とする南米で最初で最大のゲームスタジオ「Wanako Games」[3]をアクティビジョン・ブリザードから買収した[4]。2010年までに、スタジオ名はBehaviour Interactiveに戻された。これは、オリジナル作品の制作の増加でゲームコミュニティでの存在感が増したことや元の名称を使用できたこと、および頭文字語「A2M」の特定のわいせつな解釈などが原因である[5]。

ベセスダの侵害訴訟[編集]
2018年6月21日、 ベセスダ・ソフトワークスはSF番組シリーズ「Westworld」を原作としたモバイルゲーム『Westworld』に関してWarner Bros. Interactive EntertainmentとBehaviour Interactiveを提訴し、同作品がBehaviourが共同開発者である別のモバイルゲーム『Fallout Shelter』の「あからさまな盗作」(blatant rip-off)であると主張した。
メリーランド州連邦地方裁判所に提起された訴訟において、ベセスダは『Westworld』が『Fallout Shelter』と同じまたは非常に類似したゲームデザイン、アートスタイル、アニメーション、機能およびその他のゲームプレイ要素を有していると主張している。ベセスダは、著作権侵害、契約違反、企業秘密の不正流用を訴え、陪審裁判と損害賠償を求めた[6]。この訴訟はまた、『Westworld』が『Fallout Shelter』に元々存在したいくつかのソフトウェアバグを同様に再現したと主張している[7]。その後、2018年11月に3社は和解に至っていたことが明らかになり（和解条件は非公開）、2019年1月15日にはWarner Bros.はモバイルゲーム『Westworld』を同日で配信終了すると発表した[8][9]。
