ウィキメディア財団が配布している公式のWikipedia Appsはウィキペディアを数種類の携帯機器オペレーティングシステムで使用するためのアプリケーションである。現在Android（Google Play経由）、iOS（App Store経由）、Windows 8（Windows Store経由）に対応している。独立系の開発者もウィキペディアの記事を閲覧するための非公式アプリケーションをリリースしている。いくつかのアプリケーションは内容をウィキペディアのサイトから読み込んで処理しているが、MediaWiki APIを使用するアプリケーションもある。

公式Androidアプリケーション[編集]
ウィキメディア財団では公式Androidアプリケーションを「Wikipedia」と呼んでいる。ウィキペディアの携帯サイトのように無料で閲覧のみのウィキペディアを提供している。また、ユーザーが現在位置に近い場所にジオタギングされた記事を探すことができる。
公式iOSアプリケーション[編集]
公式iOSアプリケーションの場合は「Wikipedia Mobile」とウィキメディア財団は呼んでいる。Android版と同様ウィキペディアの携帯サイトのように無料で閲覧のみのウィキペディアを提供している[1]。また、ユーザーが現在位置に近い場所にジオタギングされた記事を探すことができる。
公式Windowsアプリケーション[編集]

非公式アプリケーション[編集]
これらのアプリケーションも記事を表示することを主目的としている。特徴的な機能として記事の検索や、ブックマーク、共有、画像拡大がある。
