吉村 瞳（よしむら ひとみ ）は、愛知県出身のポップ歌手、シンガーソングライター、ギタリスト。主にアコースティック・タイプのラップスティール・ギターによる弾き語りをする稀有な存在。同じスタイルを持つミュージシャンとしてはベン・ハーパー（Ben Harper、Octber 28,1969 - ）やロビー・ロバートソンとの活動でも知られるピュラ・フェPura Féらがいる。またマルチ・ストリングス・プレイヤーでも知られるデヴィッド・リンドレー（David Perry Lindley March 21, 1944 – March 3, 2023)もときどきはアコースティック・タイプのラップスティール・ギターでの弾き語りを行った。

略歴[編集]

愛知県出身。14歳のとき友人の影響でエレキギターを持ち、軽音楽部でバンド活動をはじめる[1]。当初はJポップ趣向であったが、スティーヴィー・レイ・ボーン （Stephen Ray Vaughan 1954年10月3日 - 1990年8月27日）やデュアン・オールマン（Howard Duane Allman、1946年11月20日 − 1971年10月29日）を知りブルースやサザン・ロックに傾倒。スリーピースバンドを結成[2]するが、当時はボーカルではなくギターを担当。
スリーピースバンドの空中分解後に女性アコースティック・ユニット赤土姉妹 Red Dirt Boogie Sistersを結成[3]し、ギタリストだけではなくボーカリストとしても活動するようになる。また同じころにすぎの暢がプレイするラップ・スティール・ギターを聞き衝撃を受ける。その場でワイゼンボーン(Weissenborn)タイプのラップ・スティール・ギタープレイヤーとなることを目指し、その楽器による弾き語りという世界でも稀有な存在となる。
名古屋を拠点に赤土姉妹 Red Dirt Boogie Sistersでの活動と並行し、ソロ活動をはじめた吉村瞳はさまざまなセッション、桑名晴子をはじめとするユニットを経験し、ソロ・アルバム『isn't it time』を制作、発表する（２０１２年）。そんななかで大阪で活動するパーカッション の小笠原友子 と出会い、「吉村瞳＆小笠原友子」という連名での活動で全国をツアーするようになる。このユニットは２０１４年『live at Rooster』、2015年『live at BEGGAR'S BANQUET』、2016年『as the years go passin' by』（DVD）、2017年『Wheel in』までつづく[4]が、吉村瞳が活動の拠点を東京へと移すことで解消する。
上京後も多くのミュージシャンとの交流、レコーディング、ツアーに明け暮れ、コロナ以降は「吉村瞳バンド」を結成。ソロ活動とバンドでのライブを交互に行っている。

年間100回以上のライブを繰り返す吉村瞳[5]。その最大の特徴はライブ毎にセットリストが大幅に入れ替えられることにある[6]。
