ジル・エレン・スタイン（英語: Jill Ellen Stein、ヘブライ語: ג'יל אלן שטיין‎‎、1950年5月14日 – ）はアメリカ合衆国の医師、政治活動家。2012年[1][2]、2016年アメリカ合衆国大統領選挙におけるアメリカ緑の党の大統領候補[3][4][5]。2010年のマサチューセッツ州知事選挙[6]など多くの選挙に立候補している。

経歴[編集]

イリノイ州シカゴに生まれハイランドパークで育つ。ユダヤ系アメリカ人であり、家族はユダヤ教改革派シナゴーグであるNorth Shore Congregation Israelに参加している[7]。両親はロシア系ユダヤ人であり、ユダヤ教改革派として育ったが、現在は不可知論者である[8]。同じく医師のリチャード・ローラーと結婚し、マサチューセッツ州レキシントン在住。成人した2人の息子がいる[9][10]。

1973年、ハーバード大学を卒業、心理学、社会学、人類学を学んだ。1979年、ハーバード大学医学大学院院了、その後、25年間、内科医を勤めた。また、2006年までハーバード大学医学大学院で教鞭をとっていた[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]。

2016年、アメリカ合衆国大統領選挙に出馬し共和党のトランプに敗れた。2016年10月11日～13日に実施されたUSAトゥデイによる投票前世論調査では、トランプ支持20％、ヒラリー支持68％、ゲーリー支持8％、未定3％で、ジル支持は1％であった[20]。トランプ候補の当選が発表された後、サイバー攻撃により投票が操作された可能性があるとしてウィスコンシン州の選挙管理委員会に再集計を求め、それが受理されたことで話題となった。再集計を求めるためには、多額の手数料が必要となるが500万ドルを調達したという[21]。
