トーマス・ベイズ（Thomas Bayes、1702年 - 1761年4月17日）はイギリスの長老派の牧師・数学者である。ベイズの定理の特殊な場合についての証明が死後発表されたことで知られる。

経歴 [編集]
トーマス・ベイズはロンドンで生まれた。1719年に論理学と神学を修めるためにエディンバラ大学に入った。国教徒でなかったために、オックスフォード大学やケンブリッジ大学には入れなかった。
