デイヴィッド・ヘルド（David Held, 1951年8月27日 - 2019年3月2日）は、イギリスの政治学者。ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクス教授を経て、ダラム大学教授。

略歴[編集]

マサチューセッツ工科大学にて博士号取得後、ケンブリッジ大学でポスドク研究をする。

ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクス（LSE: London School of Economics）政治学部教授を経て、2012年から現職。専攻は、政治理論、民主主義論、グローバリゼーション研究。

フランクフルト学派の研究から出発し、グローバル化する世界での民主主義の在り方に関心を寄せ、コスモポリタン・デモクラシーという理念を提起している。

アンソニー・ギデンズとともに、出版社 Polity Press を創設し、編集長を務めた。

2019年3月2日に死去。67歳没[1]。
