Vertigo Entertainmentは、2001年にロイ・リーとDoug Davisonによって設立された、ロサンゼルスを拠点とするアメリカの映画・テレビドラマ製作会社である。
社歴[編集]
2001年、BenderSpink社を退社したロイ・リーは、パートナーのダグ・デイヴィソンと共にVertigo Entertainment社を立ち上げた[1] [2]。
当初、ヴァーティゴ・エンターテイメント社は、ディメンション・フィルムズとファーストルック契約を結び、ディメンション社向けに3年間ほど長編映画を製作していた[3]。
2004年には、ユニバーサル・ピクチャーズと契約し、年単位で多くの映画を製作することになった[4]。この契約は、2007-08年にかけての全米脚本家組合のストライキ中の、2008年に打ち切られた[5]。2007年には、Lionsgate Televisionと契約を結び、テレビ向けの番組を製作し始めた[6]。
2010年、ヴァーティゴ社はワーナー・ブラザースとファーストルック契約を結び、ワーナー社向けに映画を製作した[7] [8] [9]。
2013年3月、ヴァーティゴ社は、ケーブルテレビ向けのプロジェクトを開発するため、フォックス21と2年間のファーストルック契約を結んだ[10]。
2015年12月、ヴァーティゴ社はワーナー・ブラザースとのパートナーシップを拡大し、ドラマやコメディシリーズの2年間の独占契約を結んだ[11]。
2017年11月、ヴァーティゴ社はソニー・ピクチャーズ・テレビジョンと、テレビネットワーク向けやケーブルテレビ向け、ストリーミング配信向けのドラマ、コメディ、台本なしの番組を含む複数年のファーストルック契約を結んだ[12]。
2020年、ヴァーティゴ社はライオンズゲート社と映画製作に関する契約を結んだ[13]。
