Maps called via template(s)

Hi! Articles like 松山市 use {{日本の市}} to call out maps like File:基礎自治体位置図 38201.svg. As mentioned on 利用者‐会話:レオタード３世#Maps there seems to be 2 types of maps. So this time we should perhaps not just use a bot and do like with demography files above. Perhaps it is better to ask community if there is a map that is better than the other. Also on Commons many maps have been overwritten so it may take longer to clean up "the mess". So my question is if perhaps you could leave a note somewhere and ask what to do? Some info (some numbers are based on older lists so they may not be 100% correct):

1. There are 1,605 files in Category:Locator maps of municipalities in Japan based on maps by Lincun
2. 1012 are on Commons as an identical copy
3. 546 are on Commons as an non-identical copy (probably transferred to Commons and overwritten)
4. 47 are not on Commons (the Illuminativemap-files we can't copy to Commons)
5. 12 files are on Commons with the same name
6. 1546 are on Commons with a different name

So maybe we should ask if 利用者:本日晴天 can help us because I think SeitenBot2 is able to see if the file on Commons is the same or not and perhaps also if there is an identical copy in file history on Commons. --MGA73（会話） 2021年5月24日 (月) 11:43 (UTC)

I added |image= and |image_hokkaido= so any file names will work. Note: The template determines whether 町 and 村 are in the same color by prefecture code. Is this logic still working for the non-identical copy on Commons, or do we need a new parameter?

From File:基礎自治体位置図 03201.svg, it seems that Lincun prefers type 2. Lincun started the switch from type 1 to type 2 in 2010, but stopped editing before the switch is done. I can write a post in プロジェクト‐ノート:日本の市町村 (WikiProject on Japan municipalities; WikiProject on maps appears to be dormant), after resolving the template question above.

Yes lets ignore Illuminativemaps and that leaves 3 types of files (based on the name):

• 44 files like File:包括自治体区画図 13000.svg
• 1511 files like File:基礎自治体位置図 01346.svg
• 3 files like File:日本地域区画地図補助 01330.svg

How do I know when to use |image= and when to use |image_hokkaido=? Do we have to use 2 different names?

If the file is not the same on Commons then there is no telling what color is used. So it might be a good idea to add a type 1 or type 2 parameter so users can change if the colors are wrong. Use |image_hokkaido= for 日本地域区画地図補助 and |image= for the other two. The template logic makes it clear that only one of 包括自治体区画図 and 基礎自治体位置図 is shown; it is possible that both parameters are used in the same template call.

I added a parameter for specifying type 1 or 2: |村の色分け=no means 町 and 村 are in the same color, while |村の色分け=yes means they are in different colors. Not a very good parameter name but should be good for temporary usage.

Note: From the template logic, it appears that only 基礎自治体位置図 has 町 and 村 in the same color; the rest either have them in different colors or do not show that level of details.--ネイ（会話） 2021年5月24日 (月) 15:28 (UTC)

I'm not sure that I understand. But since 基礎自治体位置図 is the most used perhaps we could start with that. So that means I should use |image=. If 基礎自治体位置図 has 町 and 村 in the same color then I guess that I should always use |村の色分け=no for that?

Perhaps it is best to write a post in プロジェクト‐ノート:日本の市町村 (WikiProject on Japan municipalities) before I change files. Just in case there are other things that should be changed also. It only works when |2= is not 0. This is because |2=0 (or |2=000) refers to the prefecture, and in the prefecture maps 町 and 村 are always of separate color.--ネイ（会話） 2021年7月9日 (金) 01:51 (UTC)

Well I tried lol... I fixed it with Special:Diff/85165655. I forgot to add |村の色分け=no (or yes) but I wonder when that parameter is need. Can you see any logic I can use for my bot?

Assuming the logic in the template still applies (i.e. no change in the image), then |村の色分け= is needed when |2= is not 000 (when |2=000, |村の色分け= is ignored). It should be no when |1= is one of 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,13,16,17,18,21,22,24,25,26,27,28,30,31,33,34,35,36,37,38,41,42,44,46,47, and yes otherwise.

Separately, |image_hokkaido= is used when |1=1 and |2= is not 000 (or 0). The default value is 日本地域区画地図補助_01{{基礎自治体位置図/北海道振興局|{{{2}}}}}.svg.--ネイ（会話） 2021年8月22日 (日) 10:42 (UTC)

You said earlier that image_hokkaido is used for 日本地域区画地図補助 and image for the 2 other file names. Is the way to decide between the 2 other if 2 is 000 (or 0)? If yes then I think the "rules" I need could be these:

Rule 1: If 1=1 or 01 and 2 is not = 000 or 0 then |image_hokkaido= and file name = 日本地域区画地図補助 and |村の色分け=no

Rule 2: If 1=1 or 01 and 2 = 000 or 0 then |image= and file name = 包括自治体区画図 and no need for |村の色分け=

I got another idea. The tracking category 廃止されたパラメータ made it easy to fix so what if you add tracking categories like "Name is 基礎自治体位置図" and "村の色分け is no"? Other rules look fine. Also, only rule 1 has two images.

Files like ファイル:基礎自治体位置図 04100.svg have a green color for the areas not in focus and the version on Commons have a grey color for the areas not in focus. Can I just retransfer those and thereby replace the map with green with the map with grey or will is ruin the colors on Japanese Wikipedia? If it ruin the colors on Japanese Wikipedia how do I fix it? Per File:Map of Tochigi Prefecture Ja.svg, Lincun started changing the green color to grey in ~2010, so it seems that Lincun's intention would have been grey.   • 表示の変更：デスクトップ版では表示の変更はないはずです（Common.css→TemplateStylesの移行のみ）。モバイルビューでは変更前がバグっている（あるべきCSS指定がない）状態で、変更後ではデスクトップ版と同じように表示されます。
  • 文章とテンプレートが横並びにならない：これは基礎情報テンプレートでは一般的ではありません（例：ロバート・ウォルポール、ウサイン・ボルト、エンパイア・ステート・ビルディング、Perfume、山手線）。これを変更する場合はTemplate‐ノート:Infoboxで議論を提起するのがいいでしょう。
  • 画像の大きさ：スマホでトルコを閲覧した限りでは、今でも十分な大きさであるとみられます。

Template:Free media

Hi! I noticed that this template is used on one license template. I think it should either be deleted or added to all free license templates. I would prefer that it is added to all licenses because it is hard for me to find all free files when there is not a single category with all free files. Hi! Many of the files that is left are a bit tricky. There is not always a clear source (at least not that I can see because Google Translate does not always give a good translation). So we may have to check them manually and it is nice that you help because you do not need Google Translate and that makes it much faster.

I tried to learn from your edits so I checked the ones you did today. I decided that ファイル:Pompei-grafiti-L.jpg is okay for Commons because the painting is more than 2000 years old so copyright expired. About ファイル:Tokai Train Headmark.jpg I do not understand the discussion. The uploader/photographer released the photo {{PD-self}}. If the logo/drawing is {{PD-ineligible}} then the photo is free and can be moved to Commons?

返信 (アナキズム研究会さん宛) 私は本件について「当初の議論終結の判断が誤りだったというのが明白」とまでは言えないと考えています。「Wikipedia:投稿ブロック依頼でも、（中略）議論の結果の多数意見を覆す権限は与えられていない」というのはあなた独自の解釈であり、そこから「Wikipedia:投稿ブロック依頼により与えられた管理者の裁量を超えた権限行使があり」とするのは論理の飛躍です。また会話ページの編集禁止はWikipedia:投稿ブロックへの異議申し立ての最も一般的な手段を奪うことになりますから、通常のブロックよりも強固な合意が必要であるという考え方もあるでしょう。しかしWikipedia:投稿ブロック依頼/旅人陽炎の会話ページ編集禁止票を見ても、会話ページを編集禁止しなければならない理由を説明できている票は少ないですし、会話ページ編集禁止票を入れている方々がどの程度の強さで会話ページ編集禁止を支持しているかも不明です。このような中で「強固な合意が得られていない」として会話ページのブロックを見送っても、コミュニティの判断から著しく逸脱しているとまでは言えないと思います。

返信 コミュニティの合意を管理者の一存で上書きできるとでも言うのでしょうか...Wikipedia:投稿ブロックの方針では「投稿ブロック依頼でコミュニティに対して投稿ブロック（および投稿ブロックの延長、短縮、解除）を提案することができます。投稿ブロック依頼の結論は、通常管理者による裁量ブロックの判断よりも優先されます。」と書かれていることからも、管理者の裁量よりも投稿ブロック依頼での議論結果が優越することは導き出されますし、先に述べた通りWikipedia:投稿ブロック依頼では「管理者による議論終結の判断で終了」と書かれているとおり管理者には「議論終結の判断」を行う権限が与えられているのみで、独自に判断を行ったり「強固な合意」の形成を要求する権能もありません。「管理者による議論終結の判断で終了」と書かれているところ「議論が終結したか否か」以外の点を考慮して裁定すれば方針外権限行使ではないのでしょうか。どちらかというと新幹線さんのご指摘の方が論理の飛躍があるように思います。もしネイさんが「会話ページ編集禁止票を入れている方々がどの程度の強さで会話ページ編集禁止を支持しているかも不明」であり「強固な合意ではない」と考えるのであれば、議論が深まり強固に合意が形成するまで待つ（あるいは自ら議論に参加し対応はほかに委ねる）という判断もあったのです。それを投稿ブロック依頼で議論の俎上にあがってすらいない被依頼者のブログ記事の削除を理由として独自の判断を行うのであればそれは「コミュニティの合意軽視」と取られても致し方ないかと。それをご理解いただいたからこそネイさんも自身の対処を取り消されたのだと思います。Wikipedia:管理者#一般の参加者とどう違うのかを再度お読みください。--アナキズム研究会（会話） 2021年8月11日 (水) 13:43 (UTC)

報告こんにちは。本日ここに辿り着きました。Wikipedia:コメント依頼/2400:4153:5000:4A00:557B:20F2:A661:3F07ほかのIP利用者のコメント依頼について、管理者の利用者:Ohgiさんが鵜呑みにされて問答無用で決めつけブロックされてるようですね。キン肉マン関係の履歴を見て、執拗に憶測で報告繰り返してるIP126とIP60系のユーザーも個々の履歴内容からして、一連のソフトバンク可変IP群と同一人物の可能性が疑われます。つまり故意に可変IPを使ってる多重アカウントの自己満足な「IP自警」を問題視はせず。管理者の利用者:Ohgiさんが鵜呑みにされて詳しく精査もせずに問答無用で私や他のIPユーザーの方々を多重アカウントと決めつけブロックされるのは管理者としてあるまじき不適切な行為かと存じます。利用者:Ohgiさんの会話ページでも釈明もしましたが、返答なく一方的に再ブロックされました。つまり管理者側の明確な多重アカウントの根拠を提示されない対話拒否です。そこでのコメントを別の方が削除されるなら、不適切を認めたと見なされますし、履歴にも残りますね。

Wikipedia:コメント依頼のサブページ作成を伴うコメント依頼によれば、

次に該当するものについては、終結宣言の有無に関わらず終了案件として扱われます。 「 最終コメント以降、最終コメント者以外の利用者によるコメントがなく、かつ終結宣言もないまま1か月が経過した場合 なお、一度終了したコメント依頼と同趣旨の依頼を再度提出する場合は依頼サブページを別途新規作成して行い、終了したサブページでは議論を行わないでください。」

とあります、私のコメント以降一ヶ月以上経過しても、2400:4153:5000:4a00::/64に対して1年のブロックを実施し、Wikipedia:投稿ブロック依頼/2400:4153:5000:4a00::/64 追認までされた利用者:Ohgiさんが、それに従われなければ、管理者としての不備も問われることになります。IP126とIP60系のユーザーも個々の履歴内容からして、それこそ一連のソフトバンク可変IP群と同一人物の多重アカウントの自己満足な「IP自警」を問題もちゃんと利用者:Ohgiさんには対応されなければ、それも問題ですね。

The files in this category should be ready to move to Commons. They should have {{Information}} and a source and an author. So if you look for files to work on they should be easy. I try to add information template with my bot when the category is getting low on files. • Growth機能をほとんどの言語版のウィキペディアに展開しました。殆どの小規模ウィキでは、機能のテストと構成を行うため、ある程度編集経験がある利用者のみが使えるようにしてあります。新規利用者には2021年9月20日から順次、使えるようにする予定です。
• MediaWiki ではローカルにある短い記事のリンクをそれぞれ異なるスタイルで強調する機能がありました。「スタブ」に指定するサイズは、利用者ごとに設定していました。この機能はパフォーマンス上非常によくなかったため、聞き取り調査を行った上で機能を除去しました。 [12]
• モノブック外装は管理の効率と保持性を高めるため、技術的な変更を施しました。HTML に若干の変更を加え、モノブックでも HTML 記述を他の外装と共通にしました。編集者が受ける影響を最小にするよう留意しましたが、問題がある場合はウィキ上で Jon (WMF) に通知するか、phabricator に報告をお願いします。

Template:節スタブにつきまして

こんにちは。いつもお世話になっております。 さて、ネイ様が昨日2021年9月28日 (火) 13:56‎にTemplate:節スタブを編集されたのを拝見しました（差分）。テンプレート中のTemplate:Amboxのtextパラメータの代わりにissue・fixパラメータを使うように変更なさいましたが、この影響で、スマートフォンで節スタブを閲覧した際にアイコンのエクスクラメーションマークのみが表示され、肝心の「この節の加筆が～」の文言が表示されなくなってしまったようです。正確に申し上げますと、「詳細」を押さない限り文言を読むことができません。
この現象をAndroid 11のChromeとFirefoxのブラウザで確認しました。原因は、Amboxでsmall=leftを使用した際fixの内容は最初からは表示されないという仕様によるものと推定されます。
つきましては、文言をissueまたはtextに移していただくなど、スマートフォンでも正常に表示されるよう修正していただけませんでしょうか？ また、パッと見た感じ見つからなかったのですが、もしこの編集に関する合意形成がどこかでできていたのであれば、私から確認等いたしますのでお知らせください。

Category:コモンズへの移動推奨

Old photos - they fulfill the criteria in c:Template:PD-Japan-oldphoto and so are good to move to Commons.

File:NIIGATA光のページェント1.jpg and File:NIIGATA光のページェント2.jpg - these are photos of NIIGATA光のページェント and I am unsure whether these should be considered photos of copyrighted artwork. If yes, then they do not fulfill WP:FOP (reason: displayed in public for less than a month in a year) and can only be deleted.

Deleting files with a NowCommons

Hi! I have been working on files in Category:Unidentified locator maps of municipalities in Japan for some time and soon the last files will be fixed. Next category will be Category:Bot deletion not possible. Perhaps you could help scan the category for possible bad files? For example files with FOP-issues? Also some of the first few files mention a link to some website. Perhaps you can figure out if it is just a link with more info or if it is the source of the file. Yes it is a lot of files. I was just thinking of a visual scan through the category. Like just spend 30 minutes looking for possible problems.

Anyway I have now deleted the maps and found out Template:行政区位置図 have a similar problem. We need to fix the template to make it possible to use a different name on Commons. Perhaps you can fix that when you have time after your break? What do you think of those Category:Files uploaded by Mariemon - NowCommons? I think that most of the stones look very simple or natural meaning that they do not look complex enough to be copyrighted statues.
