アクシス (バンド)

アクシス(AXXIS)は、ドイツのヘヴィメタル・バンド。

概要

スピードが速く、硬質なギターの上にハイトーンヴォーカルを載せるスタイルが特徴。1988年、アルバム「キングダム・オブ・ザ・ナイト」でデビュー。商業的に恵まれない時代もあったが、メロディックパワーメタルに移行したことにより再び黄金時代を迎えた。その結果、ドイツではハロウィンやガンマ・レイと並ぶ程の人気ジャーマンメタルバンドとなった。かなりの実力を持ったバンドであるが、日本では知名度が低く、「不遇のバンド」と言われている。
