「スキャットマンズ・ワールド」（英語: Scatman's World）は、スキャットマン・ジョンの楽曲である。1995年6月19日に2枚目のシングルとして発売された。

解説[編集]

デビューシングル『スキャットマン』に引き続き、世界中でヒットしたこの曲は、Canon in D Majorに基づいて作られている。イギリスのシングルチャートで初登場14位、最高10位。日本では、テレビ朝日系列で放送された、ドラマ『ハンサムマン』で、毎回冒頭シーンのBGMとして使用された。この楽曲が収録されている同名のアルバムについては「スキャットマンズ ワールド」を参照。

プロモーションビデオ[編集]

このプロモーションビデオは、スキャットマンをグリーンスクリーンの前に立たせ、彼の歌う世界中の様々な問題の映像を合成している。同時に、彼の理想とする空想の世界『スキャットランド』を表現している。

ちなみに、日本の『オウム真理教事件』（公証人役場事務長逮捕監禁致死事件の実行犯逮捕の目的）の強制捜査の映像の一部も取り入れられている。
