キジ亜目（キジあもく、学名 Phasiani）は、鳥類キジ目の亜目である。
3科が属するが、科の数は分類により増減する。種数でキジ目の3/4が属する。
キジ上科 Phasianoidea とすることもある[1][2]。1科キジ科のみを置くこともある[3]。Sibleyらはこのグループのみをキジ目とし、残りのキジ目をホウカンチョウ目に分離した。
伝統的に、残りのキジ目（ホウカンチョウ亜目 Craci、ホウカンチョウ科とツカツクリ科）が姉妹群だとされてきたが、近年の系統によるとホウカンチョウ科 Cracidae が姉妹群のようである[4][3]。

キジ亜目 Galli[編集]
キジ科にはかつてツメバケイ科、クイナモドキ科、ミフウズラ科（それらの全てまたは一部）が含められていた時代があった。その場合、それらをそれぞれツメバケイ亜目 Opisthocomi など単型の亜目に分類し、現在キジ目とされるグループをキジ亜目 Galli とした。
