アジアゴールデンキャット属（Catopuma）はネコ科の属。アジアゴールデンキャットとボルネオヤマネコの2種が属す。マーブルキャット属とともに、“Bay cat lineage”をなす[2]。両種とも体色は典型的には赤灰色で、頭には黒色の模様がある[3][4]。
2種は、ボルネオが近隣の島々と隔絶されるはるか前の490万年～530万年前に分化した[5]。本属に最も近縁なマーブルキャット属とは940万年前に分化した[6]。
分類[編集]
Catopumaの名はニコライ・セヴェルツォフによって1858年にFelis moormensis（ブライアン・ホートン・ホジソンが記載）をタイプ種として提案された[7][4]。
