バークホルデリア科(ーか、Burkholderiaceae)は真正細菌Pseudomonadotaベータプロテオバクテリア綱バークホルデリア目の一つである。メンバーのうち重要な種として鼻疽菌Burkholderia mallei)や類鼻疽菌Burkholderia pseudomallei)がある[1]。鱗を食するメダカ科魚類のpupfish(Cyprinodon desquamator)の腸内に豊富に存在すること、それは一般的な実験用飼料を与えていた後でも買わないことが確認されており、鱗の消化を補助する可能性が示唆されている(Heras and Martin 2022)。
