ギュンター・ハンペル[1]（Gunter Hampel、1937年8月31日 - ）は、ドイツのジャズ・ヴィブラフォン、クラリネット、サックス、フルート、ピアノ奏者、作曲家。

略歴[編集]

ドイツ・ゲッティンゲン生まれ。アルバム『The 8th of July 1969』では、ミュージシャン仲間のアンソニー・ブラクストン、ウィレム・ブロイカー、ジーン・リーと共演した。今は亡きジーン・リーはギュンター・ハンペルの妻だった。ハンペルは1960年代、フリー・ジャズに専念し、レーベル「バース・レコード（Birth Records）」を設立。ジョン・マクラフリン、ローリー・アラン、ウド・リンデンベルク、ピエール・クルボワ、ペリー・ロビンソン等の様々なアーティストと数年にわたり様々な仕事を共にした。1963年にはアレクサンダー・フォン・シュリッペンバッハ、マンフレート・ショーフらとカルテットを結成した。また、ドン・チェリーとも共演している。1970年代には、ギャラクシー・ドリーム・バンド（Galaxy Dream Band）を結成した。
