ポーラー音楽賞 (Polar Music Prize) は、1989年に創設されたスウェーデンの国際的な賞。ABBAのマネージャーとして知られるスティーグ・アンダーソンによって創設され、スウェーデン王立音楽アカデミーより寄進される[1]。この賞は、1人(または1グループ)の現代音楽の音楽家と、1人(または1グループ)のクラシック音楽の音楽家に毎年与えられる[2]。例外は、2001年(3人の音楽家が表彰された)と2003年(1名のみ表彰)である。国家や民族が制限されないこの賞は「音楽および//または音楽活動の重要な業績、または音楽活動の潜在的な重要性が高いと認められる業績に授与されるものであり、音楽と密接に関わるすべての分野に与えられるものとする[3]。」この賞はスウェーデンでは音楽のノーベル賞と呼ばれる[4][5][6]
