ジョージ・リューデ

ジョージ・リューデ（George Rudé、1910年2月8日-1993年1月8日）は、イギリスの歴史学者。専門は、フランス革命史。

ノルウェー・オスロ生まれ。第一次大戦後の1919年、イギリスに移住。ケンブリッジ大学トリニティ校で言語学を学ぶ。パブリック・スクールの語学教師として生計を立てていたが、イギリス共産党員であること（1935年に入党）を理由に辞職を余儀なくされ、ロンドン大学大学院で歴史学の研究に専念し、フランス革命における群衆行動の研究で博士号取得。イギリスでは大学のポストを得ることができなかったが、オーストラリアのアデレード大学やフリンダース大学、カナダのサー・ジョージ・ウィリアムズ大学で教鞭をとった。
