インタフェース
ゲームのHUDは主にGoogleストリートビューの画像とコンパスを特徴とする。ユーザーは画像の移動、パン、ズームを制御できるが、これらの機能を無効にしてより難しいゲームプレイを行うことができる[10]。グーグルマップの標準のオーバーレイを使用したマップが差し込まれており、プレイヤーはそこにピンを配置することで場所を推測する。
戦略
ユーザーは道路標識を読んだり、太陽の相対位置を見つけ出したり、植物相や土壌の種類を特定したり、特定の文字体系に固有のダイアクリティカルマークを知ることで写真から自分の場所を判断する[11][12][13]。プレイヤーはストリートビューのメタデータを利用して自分の位置を特定することもできる。例えばクルーガー国立公園で画像を撮影したストリートビューの車両は緑色で白のルーフレールの備えるという点で独特である[14]。

開発
スウェーデンのITコンサルタントであるAnton Wallénにより2013年に開発された。WallenはGoogleストリートビューで遠く離れた場所を訪れるのが好きであり、最初にストリートビューでランダムな場所を生成するプログラムを作成し、その後競技要素を追加することを決めた[17]。
ゲームの開発には約2週間を要した[2]。Googleストリートビューを使用するゲームのためのBackbone.js JavaScriptライブラリとGoogleマップのAPIを使用している[18]。Wallénは2013年5月10日に完成したゲームをGoogle Chrome Experimentsに投稿した[18]。
英語だけでなく、オランダ語、フランス語、ドイツ語、イタリア語、ポルトガル語、スペイン語、スウェーデン語、トルコ語、日本語、ポーランド語の11の言語で利用できる[19]。モバイルアプリはAndroidとiOSプラットフォームで利用できる[20]。
