Hassan Blasim

ハサン・ブラーシム（Hassan Blasim、1973年〜 ）は、イラク生まれの映画監督・作家。

アラビア語で書いている。現在はフィンランドに在住。

経歴[編集]

バグダードに生まれる。少年時代をクルド人地域キルクークで過ごし、その後バグダッドで映像作家となる[1]。政府から圧力を受け、2000年に出国。2004年フィンランドに渡り、2016年に市民権を得る[1]。

新天地で映像作品を制作する傍ら、アラビア語での創作を続ける。2008年に英国で刊行されたアンソロジーに英訳が1つ掲載されたことをきっかけに、翌年、短篇集『自由広場の狂人』が英国で出版され、PENが主催する翻訳文学賞を受賞[1]。2014年には第2短篇集『イラク人キリスト』が、英国インディペンデント紙外国文学賞をアラビア語作家として初めて受賞する[1]。

英訳版が高い評価を得る一方でアラビア語での刊行は難航を極め、検閲版が2012年にレバノンで出版されるも、ヨルダンでは発禁処分となる[1]。
