ダウン・バイ・ザ・サリー・ガーデンズ
「ダウン・バイ・ザ・サリー・ガーデンズ」（英語: Down By The Salley Gardens、アイルランド語: Gort na Saileán）はアイルランドの伝統的な歌である。"An Traigh Mughdhorna"、"The Maids of Mourne Shore"及び"The Mourne Shore"の曲名でも知られ、英語とアイルランド語の両方の歌詞が存在する。邦訳は「サリーの庭」「柳の庭のほとりで」「サリーガーデンのほとりで」など。
概説
しばしばウィリアム・バトラー・イェイツの詩として紹介され、後に1889年の彼の詩集The Wanderings of Oisin and Other Poemsに含められた。しかしながらこの詩はイェイツが口碑に対する感激の印として発表したものであり、アイルランドの老婆が歌っていた歌の断片に基づく。イェイツは"This is an attempt to reconstruct an old song from three lines imperfectly remembered by an old peasant woman in the village of Ballysodare, Sligo, who often sings them to herself."（これはスライゴ州Ballysodareの村の農婆がよく一人で歌っていた不完全に記憶された3つの詩行から古い歌を復元する試みである）と述べていた。
