ニジェールの歌はニジェールの旧国歌である。1961年から2023年まで国歌として採用されていた。
2019年11月21日、共和国のマハマドゥ・イスフ大統領は、国歌を変更することを決定したとを発表した。この決定は、歌詞の一部がかつての植民地の支配者であるフランスへの感謝を表現しているように見えるとの批判を受けたものである。
ブリジ・ラフィニ首相が議長を務める委員会は、「現在の国歌に修正を加えて反省する」そして「可能であれば、ニジェールの現在の状況に対応した新しい国歌を見つける」と発言。2018年に設立されたこの委員会は、政府のメンバー数名と「作詞・作曲の経験豊富な専門家」約15名で構成されている。
文化ルネッサンス大臣のアッサマナ・マラム・イッサは、「全国民を活性化できる賛美歌を見つけなければならない。私たちにとって、愛国心に触れるための一種の戦争の叫びであるから」と発言した。
2023年3月27日、国歌変更を含む憲法改正案が政府閣議で承認。6月22日には、ニジェール議会が新たな国歌「祖国の栄誉」が採択された。
