ジェームズ・バーナム

ジェームズ・バーナム（James Burnham、1905年11月22日–1987年7月28日）は、アメリカ合衆国の思想家。

シカゴ生まれ。プリンストン大学およびオックスフォード大学ベリオールカレッジで学ぶ。1930年代に共産主義、なかでもトロツキー主義に傾注し、社会主義労働者党（Socialist Workers Party: SWP）に参加していたが、党内路線をめぐる対立の結果、1940年離党し、アメリカ労働者党に参加するとともに、次第に反ソ・反共主義へと転じていった。第二次大戦中は戦略情報局に勤務し、戦後、雑誌『ナショナル・レビュー』などを舞台に対ソ強硬論を展開した。
