英語版ウィキペディアでは、Simpleshowの解説動画に対して否定的な意見が少なからず寄せられました。

コメント 利用者ページにリンクが貼られていますが、このアカウントは株式会社Simpleshow Japanによって作成され、同社で制作された独特の動画（イラストを手で動かす）を投稿しているものとみています。最近投稿された面接では面接対策、マラソンではマラソンのトレーニング法、ネコではなぜ人は猫動画が好きなのかという出典不明な解説など、記事にふさわしくないものがあります。精査して記事の内容にそぐわないものは除去すべきでしょう。--Sazanamiya（会話） 2017年4月20日 (木) 12:14 (UTC)[返信]

コメント 動画の主題（≠記事の主題）に対して共感を持たせる、あるいは判った気にさせることが目的のメディアだと思います。内容の出典が示されず、製作者の専門性も担保されないので Wikipedia には馴染みません。メディアに埋め込まれた独自研究は、本文に直接記述されたものよりも除去されにくい傾向があるので、今回機械的に追加されたものは機械的に除去すべきでしょう（既に誰かが除去したようなので、支持しておきます）。その上で有用なものがあれば吟味して掲載すべきだと思います。- NEON（会話） 2017年4月21日 (金) 02:25 (UTC)[返信]
コメント 先ず掲載者が株式会社即ち出資者を募る団体であり解説動画の最後にロゴが出てしまう以上その一挙手一投足がWP:PROMOを刺激するものであります（Simpleshow社とは関係ない各ページにこの解説動画とPRを載せる根拠ができてしまう…It's simply spamという指摘は正しい）。また「分かったような気にさせる動画」というのはウィキペディアもまた分かった気にさせてしまう問題はさておき例として引き合うにはやや過大な自負が伺えるため、微量ながら小生は除去に賛成するものであります。あと、面白いことに解説動画なるページは同編集者が初版を形成しており、その内容の狭さも書き方も（特に太字の使い方が）非常にPRっぽいので、本トピックとは関係ありませんが補記いたします。あと個人的な意見になりますがそのページにSimpleshow謹製ウィキペディア解説動画を挙げていて何とも早…これ、合意形成されてるんですかね？--力在領域（会話） 2017年4月30日 (日) 23:39 (UTC)[返信]
