ホモシステイン-S-メチルトランスフェラーゼ(homocysteine S-methyltransferase)は、システイン、メチオニン代謝酵素の一つで、次の化学反応を触媒する酵素である。
- S-アデノシル-L-メチオニン + L-ホモシステイン S-アデノシル-L-ホモシステイン + L-メチオニン
この酵素の基質はS-アデノシル-L-メチオニンとL-ホモシステインで、生成物はS-アデノシル-L-ホモシステインとL-メチオニンである。
この酵素は転移酵素の一つで、特に一炭素基を転移させるメチルトランスフェラーゼである。組織名はS-methyl-L-methionine:L-homocysteine S-methyltransferaseで、別名にS-adenosylmethionine homocysteine transmethylase、S-methylmethionine homocysteine transmethylase、adenosylmethionine transmethylase、methylmethionine:homocysteine methyltransferase、adenosylmethionine:homocysteine methyltransferase、homocysteine methylase、homocysteine methyltransferase、homocysteine transmethylase、L-homocysteine S-methyltransferase、S-adenosyl-L-methionine:L-homocysteine methyltransferase、S-adenosylmethionine-homocysteine transmethylase、S-adenosylmethionine:homocysteine methyltransferaseがある。
