Potential violation of WP:BOT by Liruqi[編集]

User:Liruqi seems to be making large amounts of edits via an automated script that is not manually monitored. It can also be seen that Liruqi does not seem to be aware of issues unless other users report such issues on their talk page (en:User talk:Liruqi, zh:User talk:Liruqi). The user is currently blocked for one week for breaking wikitables with said script along with a BOTPOL block notice from a sysop on zhwiki. Please review if such edits comply with WP:BOT. To me it seems like a violation where the script has almost no human involvement according to my quick read and seems to have no support by discussion. Oscar question, thanks.[編集]

Hello. Traditionally the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film is given to the director, and he is the one who keeps it. The photo below shows legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune holding the statuette, and behind him can be seen the Coppa Volpi, an Italian award he won years earlier. The film that won the Oscar was titled "Rashomon" directed by the famous director Akira Kurosawa. Why was it not he who retained the award? Did he "share" it with Mifune? Or, perhaps, were a couple of copies of the statuette made? Both hypotheses are not very plausible or credible; I believe that Kurosawa "granted" Mifune "permission" to keep the award, just like that, by simple choice. Which is the more plausible hypothesis? Hello! Long ago I asked about deleting files that was moved to Commons. After some discussion the agreement was that files could be deleted but files with a {{Keep local}} should be ignored until all other files are fixed.

Now almost all files have been moved to Commons and files have been deleted except those with a {{Keep local}}. Also files in c: Category:Files moved from ja.wikipedia to Commons requiring review have been checked. So there is nothing left for me to do now on Japanese Wikipedia.

If anyone want to help out on Commons there are some files that need categories in c:Category:Unidentified subjects in Japan.

Hello!

At en:Third Junior & Senior High School of Nihon University there is an AFD debate over en:Third Junior & Senior High School of Nihon University (日本大学第三中学校・高等学校). I am wondering which Japanese publications are most likely to have reliable sources about this school.

This is important as I need to find ways to show notability for schools not in the US/UK/Canada/Australia/NZ/Ireland/etc.
