ジョン・ハーツ

ジョン・ハーマン・ハーツ（John Herman Herz, 1908年9月23日 - 2005年12月26日）は、ドイツ出身の国際政治学者。

ハンス・ヘルマン・ヘルツ（Hans Hermann Herz）としてデュッセルドルフで裕福なドイツ系ユダヤ人の家庭に生まれ、ケルン大学で国際法学者ハンス・ケルゼンに師事した。

ナチス政権成立後、ユダヤ系であったためにアメリカへ移住し、コロンビア大学、ニューヨーク市立大学で教鞭をとった。

国家間関係における安全保障のジレンマ（security dilemma）を指摘したことで知られる。
