Fumiyasu Akegawa

Fumiyasu Akegawa (born June 1947) is the Representative Director of DEVNET INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION [1] and the General Incorporated Foundation DEVNET JAPAN [2].

He holds numerous key positions, including Representative Director of the Higashikuni-no-miya International Cultural Award Memorial Foundation, Representative Director of the International Cross-Industry Cooperative Association (Foreign Technical Intern Training Program), and President of Global Manpower Co., Ltd. (staffing and paid employment placement services). He is originally from Yamaguchi Prefecture.身。

On December 16, 2019, in a Joint Statement of Purpose by Dr. Roberto Savio, founder of IPS and DEVNET, former DEVNET president Dr. Arsenio Rodriguez, and Mr. Fumiyasu Akikawa, the DEVNET INTERNATIONAL headquarters was relocated from Rome to Tokyo, and the new president was inaugurated.

In 1966, he received the Imperial Award for Grant Money from the Central Association for the Promotion of Industrial Education [1], an imperial award for future leaders of Japan's industrial economy.

In 1973, he established Japan's first comprehensive distribution center with refrigerated and regular warehouses, capable of handling three temperature zones, in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, pioneering cold chain logistics. He was appointed as the Youth Division Chairman of the Supporters' Association for the 56th and 57th Prime Minister Nobusuke Kishi (until 1978).

In 1983, he was appointed as the Private Special Secretary and Messenger for former House of Representatives member Shintaro Abe.

In 1987, he was appointed as an external lecturer for the Economics Seminar at the Faculty of Economics, Yamaguchi University.

In 1988, he was appointed as the International Exchange Commissioner, Transportation and Communication Commissioner, and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Commissioner by the Kyushu Yamaguchi Economic Federation.

In 2004, he was appointed as a Special Advisor and Special Secretary to the National Wide Support Association Headquarters for House of Councillors member Keishiro Fukushima.

In 2006, he was appointed as the Special Goodwill Ambassador for the Asia-Pacific Region and the Governor for Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam by the United Nations (UN) recognized non-profit non-governmental organization DEVNET.

2009: As a director of the Higashikuni-no-miya Memorial Association and chairman of the Cultural Awards Promotion Executive Committee, conducted the Cultural Awards Ceremony at the Meiji Memorial Hall in Tokyo. Appointed as a special advisor for the "DEVNET Pavilion" at the Shanghai Expo.

2011: Established the Higashikuni International Cultural Award Memorial Foundation and became the representative director. Participated as a Japanese representative in the second Beijing Inkstone Exhibition and the National People's Congress Forum.

2012: Established the International Cross-Industry Friendship Association and became the representative director.

2013: Received recognition from DEVNET INTERNATIONAL as the Japanese national branch and established the DEVNET Tokyo Foundation, becoming the representative director.

2015: Exhibited at the Milan Expo and renamed "DEVNET Tokyo" to "DEVNET JAPAN."

2016: DEVNET JAPAN was recognized as the representative office for Asia (excluding some regions).

2017: Held a business meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam, organized by DEVNET/JAPAN and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), supported by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, JETRO, JICA, and the Japan-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce. Held the first awarding ceremony of the Higashikuni International Cultural Award in Vietnam. Established Global Manpower Co., Ltd. and began the paid employment placement business.

2018: Signed an agreement with the Vietnam University of Beauty [1], and hosted the 3rd Japan-Korea Forum during the visit of Dr. Yu Jong-hae, a former advisor to the President of South Korea, and his wife to Japan. Organized a business meeting at the Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce with the invitation of Thai royal family dignitaries and invited them to Yamaguchi Prefecture for sightseeing the next day.

2019: Appointed as the President of the World Headquarters of DEVNET INTERNATIONAL (headquarters located in Tokyo). Signed a joint declaration with the founder Mr. Savio, former president Mr. Rodriguez, and Mr. Akegawa, completing the relocation of the DEVNET INTERNATIONAL headquarters to Tokyo.
