Built as a P-38L with the US military serial 44-27231. Later converted to an F-5G reconnaissance variant.
Initially flew as a racer when sold off from military service in 1946. Retired and stored from 1958 until rescued by David Tallichet in 1976. Restored, she flew again in 1995 and is now part of the Fagens Fighters WWII Museum at Granite Falls, MN.
Seen departing to take part in the 2015 Arsenal of Democracy Flyover to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of VE Day and the end of WW2.
