スタンフォーズ
スタンフォーズ（Stanfords）はイギリスロンドンにある地図と旅行書籍の専門書店である。スタンフォーズは1853年にエドワード・スタンフォードによって創業された[1]。地図、地球儀、海図コレクションは世界最大級である[2][3]。
スタンフォーズの創業当時、ロンドン唯一の地図製作業者だった[4]。1901年1月、スタンフォーズ全体はコヴェント・ガーデンに移転した[5]。1941年4月15日、スタンフォーズは空襲を受けたが、上層階に積み上げられた数千枚の陸地測量図のおかげで延焼を免れた[6]。1997年、スタンフォーズはブリストルに二番目の店舗をオープンした[7]。
