マーティン エヴァンス (1916年 – 2003年12月29日) は、イギリスの趣味雑誌であるモデルエンジニア誌の主筆だった人物である。彼は1966年に技術編集者から雑誌編集者に転身した[1] 彼の編集方針は雑誌に携わる全ての人々に変革をもたらし、衰退を食い止め信頼された。翌年、模型機関車の大家である'Curly' Lawrence、別名 LBSCが死去した。この時点でマーティン・エヴァンスは一連の機関車の設計の連載を引き継ぎ、明らかにLBSCの業績に対抗していた。[2] 彼は1969年に国際模型機関車効率競技International Model Locomotive Efficiency Competition (IMLEC)を発足した。[3]エヴァンスは博学な編集者で輝かしい経歴を持って入ってきた。当時の雑誌は特別な品質で、読者の知性の最良を求め、情熱的な議論に反映した。 1977年6月に監修を退職して機関車の設計に専念した。 彼は2003年12月29日に死去した。[3]
