ドクター・ジャズ・レコード (Doctor Jazz Records) は、プロデューサー兼ソングライターのボブ・シールによって設立されたジャズ系レコードレーベル[1]。

沿革[編集]

シールは1976年にフライング・ダッチマン・レコードをRCAレコードに売却した後、しばらくのインターバルを経て、1983年代初頭にドクター・ジャズ・レコードを立ち上げた。ロニー・リストン・スミス、ファラオ・サンダース、ガトー・バルビエリ、妻であるテレサ・ブリュワーといったかつての同僚達を所属アーティストとして迎えた。彼らの新作を手掛ける傍ら、フライング・ダッチマン時代のカタログの再発も行った。1988年、レーベルをCBSレコードに売却[2]。数年後の1990年代初頭、シールはレッド・バロン・レコードを設立した[3][4]。
