Tokyo Bladeはイギリスソールズベリー出身の、ニュー・ウェイヴ・オブ・ブリティッシュ・ヘヴィメタルバンドである。1980年にバンド名 Killer として設立された。Genghis Khan と名乗った時期もある。

概要

このバンドは1980年に Killer という名前で設立された。最初のデモがリリースされた後、ベーシストの Andy Robbins がバンドを去り、Ray Dismoreが加入した。バンド名 Killer がすでに使われていたので、Dismoreは彼が元いたバンド名の Genghis Khan をグループに紹介した。 Dismoreがバンドを去り、Andy Wrighton が加入した後、 Wrighton はバンド名を Tokyo Blade に変更した。しかし、その前に、バンドは Powerstation Records からシングル Double Dealin をリリースしていた。このシングルは、1つはバンド名 Genghis Khan 、もう1つはバンド名 Tokyo Blade の2つのバージョンでリリースされた。ライブパフォーマンスを通じて、バンドはレーベルにセルフタイトルのアルバムをリリースするよう説得した。ツアー中に、EP Midnight Rendezvousがリリースされた。 1984年2月、バンドはズヴォレで開催されたAardschokフェスティバルで演奏した。バンドはまた、Satan、Sortilege、Warlock、Bodine、Vengeance、Crossfireなどのバンドが参加した Kaakshuvel の Earthquake Festival にも出演した [1] 。1984年に Mama'sBoys と一緒にフランスをツアーする前に、歌手の Alan Marsh がバンドを去り、 Vic Wright に代わった。4月中旬、バンドはセカンドアルバム Night oftheBlade をレコーディングした。1985年の初めに、バンドはTalon、Railway と共にドイツのツアーを行った。秋には次のアルバム Blackhearts ＆ JadedSpades がリリースされ、その前に、EP Madame Guillotine がリリースされた。1987年にアルバム Madame Guillotine がリリースされ[2]、1989年のアルバム No Remorse が続いた。

スタイル
