テス・ギャラガー（Tess Gallagher 1943〜）はアメリカの詩人、エッセイスト、作家。

1943年、アメリカ・ワシントン州ポート・アンジェルス生まれ。

ワシントン大学、アイオワ大学創作科に学ぶ。在学中から詩作を開始。

1974年、詩集“Stepping Outside”刊行。詩人として名を馳せる。1979年、作家レイモンド・カーヴァーとともに暮らしはじめ、1988年、入籍。病を得ていたカーヴァーはその二ヵ月後に死去。

1986年、第一短篇集『馬を愛した男』刊行。『ふくろう女の美容室』は、最愛の夫の死後、丹念に書き継がれてきた名短篇10作とエッセイ2篇からなる、日本語版オリジナルの作品集である。
