カテプシンW(Cathepsin W)は、ヒトではCTSW遺伝子でコードされるタンパク質である[1][2][3]。
この遺伝子でコードされるタンパク質はペプチダーゼC1ファミリーに分類され、T細胞の細胞溶解反応を制御する特殊な機能を持っていると考えられている。ナチュラルキラー細胞や細胞傷害性T細胞の小胞体内の膜と結合して観察される。この遺伝子の発現は、インターロイキン-2によりアップレギュレートされる[3]。
