The SU-152 was a 152mm gun-howitzer mounted on the chassis of a KV-1 Heavy Tank. In testing it was found that it could blast the turret off a Tiger I and disable or do significant damage to any German armour. It first saw action at the Battle of Kursk and remained in frontline use on all Soviet fronts until the end of the war. The type was finally withdrawn from Soviet service in 1954.
This example is on display in what is best known as Hall1 of the Kubinka Tank Museum, although its official title is now Pavilion 1 in Area 2 of the Park Patriot museum.
