Classic rhodo plate from one of the premier Asian localities. The Oppu Mine is famous for its rich bubble gum-pink color, and this would not disappoint even the most diehard Bazooka fan. The rich color, silky luster, and lovely botryoidal form (with a nice amount of drusy sparkle) give it a level of aesthetics that even the minor amount of bruising cannot detract from. There are even a few pyrite crystals to add to the attraction. A highly desirable classic from this important old locality, probably mined in the late 1800s or early 1900s.
