- Working on the premise that in 1958, most major television programs were copyrighted, a copyright search was done for any possible renewals.
- Three renewals were located at a copyright.gov search-one for 1958 and two for 1959. They deal with a song also called "Swing Into Spring"-lyrics by Johnny Mercer and music by Bob Swanson.
- The original copyright information for this song was searched for 1958 and 1959. The instances are found in music copyrights.
- 1958 Robert Swanson copyrights the music.
- 1959 Johnny Mercer copyrights the lyrics.
- Regarding the television programs, no 1958 renewals were located for anything but those mentioned above for the Mercer-Swanson song. There is no evidence that any copyright continues to be claimed on the television special the image was taken from.
