Built in August 1945 with the US military serial 45-8835 but not accepted for service and delivered directly to the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (RFC) at Walnut Ridge, AR. Immediately sold off and operated by the Bendix Aviation Corp for radar and avionics testing until 1972. She was then sold to Canada and converted to a tanker for transporting diesel fuel. She flew with Aurora Aviation until 1978 when she moved to G&M Aircraft and became ‘Tanker 1’, later ‘Tanker 336’. In 1993 she was with Aero Trader Inc at Chino, CA. Sold for preservation, she was fully restored to military spec and flew again in 1999. She is painted to represent 44-30934 “Betty’s Dream”, a B-25J operated by the 499th Bomb Squadron, 345th Bomb Group based in the Philippines in 1945.
