Germander speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys) is a low creeping plant that is widespread throughout the UK. Although it can be found in fine turf, it is not as common as slender speedwell. It is very common in grassland, roadside verges and woodland. The distinctive bright blue flower can be seen between April and July.
