Edits to Ellen Bernstein[edit]

I got notified about changes to the Ellen Bernstein page - not sure if you directly notified me or if you made a significant enough change that I automatically got notified.

I appreciate that you tightened up the text and removed some verbiage that didn't absolutely need to be there. But by removing the sentence "She notes 'If we focus on abstract theological and allegorical readings, we miss the deeply embodied and enlanded dimensions of the text that are so needed today... We miss the possibility of finding God in nature.'", I think this removes an essential essence of her work - this quote is from her words from an interview about her latest book. Do you object to me changing it back? Nnev66 (talk) 19:07, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mind, though I would recommend paraphrasing it a bit more - perhaps split it up into two sentences. The second part of the quote is stronger, while the first part could be rephrased in our own words. —Ganesha811 (talk) 19:13, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Baqeer shuwa14 on User:Baqeer shuwa14 (10:21, 14 April 2024)[edit]

I want to create my own wikipedia --Baqeer shuwa14 (talk) 10:21, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Any Wikipedian in good standing with a little experience can publish articles, but it is difficult to do so! I recommend starting out by making fixes to pages which already exist. What topics are you interested in editing about? —Ganesha811 (talk) 12:41, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Sage or something (16:24, 22 April 2024)[edit]

What is the best way to approach sensitive topics when editing an article (like how to talk about it without offending others)? --Sage or something (talk) 16:24, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a particular topic you're concerned about? Wikipedia is not censored, but we're also not here to make a point by shocking or offending others (see WP:GRATUITOUS). —Ganesha811 (talk) 17:24, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Woke Mind Virus[edit]

I would like to contest your decision to hold with the minority and merge the Woke Mind Virus page. I believe consensus was emerging for a Keep, and that at the very least more time should have been given for that one. I do not know what the process is to appeal such a move, but I think your merge move was premature if not incorrect. Iljhgtn (talk) 18:11, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I appreciated your reasoned arguments in favor of keep, but after re-reading the linked policies and considering the !votes for deletion as well as those explicitly for merge, I felt that a merger which retained large parts of the material reflected the overall consensus. If you wish to see the decision reversed, you are able to do so at Wikipedia:Deletion review. However, I'm happy to discuss it more and explain my reasoning in further detail if you'd prefer to talk it through first. —Ganesha811 (talk) 00:05, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
