吉野 直行（よしの なおゆき、1950年[1] - ）は、日本の経済学者。専門は金融財政政策。学位は、PhD-米国ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学経済学博士。ニューヨーク州立大学助教授等を経て、慶應義塾大学経済学部教授(1991-2014):名誉教授2014-現在。慶應義塾大学経済研究所初代所長、アジア開発銀行研究所所長(2014-2020)。スウェーデン・ヨーテボリ大学名誉博士、ドイツ・マルティン・ルター大学ハレ・ヴィッテンベルク名誉博士。福澤賞（慶應義塾大学）。日本FP学会会長（Financial Planning)。Green Finance Lifetime Achievement Scientific Award 受賞 (Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainable EXPO Summit, Central Bank of Hungary).パラオ共和国/財務大臣/経済顧問/Economic Advisory Group. Republic of Palau (2022-2024). 2023-東京都立大学特任教授（国際金融）, Stockholm School of Economics (EIJS) Advisory Board (Chair) (2024-2026).

父（故）池田浩一（東大法卒、弁護士、東京女子体育大学理事長、法政大学法学部教授）、叔父（故）下條寛人（東京大学医学部教授、東京大学医科学研究所所長）。

米国ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学博士論文の指導教授 Sir Alan Walters教授（アラン・ウォルターズ教授）はイギリス・サッチャー首相の私的経済顧問でその一番弟子、財務省の財政制度等審議会（財政投融資分科会部会長）、関税・外国為替審議会会長、金融審議会会長、内閣府政府税制調査会など多数の審議会委員を務め、実際の政策形成に積極的に提言。パリ政治学院（Science Po）訪問教授、オーストラリアNew South Wales大学訪問教授、スウェーデン・ヨーテボリ大学訪問教授、ドイツMartin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg訪問教授、マレーシア国立大学(UKM)Kebansan訪問教授、北京大学、人民大学など世界各国の大学にて経済政策に関する教育研究に従事。経済政策に関する理論・実証研究により、スウェーデン・ヨーテボリ大学名誉博士（2004年）、ドイツMartin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg大学名誉博士（2013年）、慶応義塾大学より福澤賞受賞(2013年)。アジアの金融経済教育をOECDと共に推進、国連（UNESCAP)やOECDとアジアの中小企業金融プロジェクト、アジア-インフラ金融への民間資金投入のSpillover効果を通じた収益率増加を提唱し、米国CSIS, Brookings研究所Bhattacharya教授、フランスNicholas Buchaud研究所会長と共同研究。バングラデシュ、インド、タイ、インドネシア、パキスタンで、土地信託を用いた方法で、土地を購入せずにリースする形で都市開発やインフラ整備を進めることを提言。フィリピン/ドミンゲス財務大臣、インドネシア/スリムリアーニ財務大臣、インド/Broad Band India-Ramachandran会長と、インフラ投資家への還元政策を推進。Handbook of Green Finance (Springer出版2019-Jeffery Sachs教授らと共著）を執筆し、SDG投資/ESG投資/グリーン投資による最適ポートフォリオ達成のための環境税やGreen Bondの正確な格付けの必要性を提唱。グリーンファイナンス分野での研究成果が評価され、ハンガリー中央銀行総裁よりGreen Finance Lifetime Achievement Scientific AwardをPlanet Budapest 2021EXPOで授与され、2022年よりパラオ共和国の経済顧問(Economic Advisory Group Member)に就任。2024年よりStockholm School of Economics (EIJS) Advisory Board (Chair).
