稲葉カヨ

稲葉 カヨ（いなば カヨ、1950年[1] - ）は、日本の免疫学者である。京都大学生命科学研究科の教授であり、同大学の男女共同参画担当理事・副学長、男女共同参画推進センター長である。

樹状細胞に関する研究で知られており、2014年にロレアル-ユネスコ女性科学賞を受賞した[2]。免疫系における樹状細胞の重要性を解明し、体外で処理した樹状細胞を再び体内に投与することにより免疫反応を促すことが可能であることを初めて示した[3][2]。2015年に武田医学賞受賞、2016年に紫綬褒章を受章[1]。

経歴[編集]

岐阜県養老郡養老町出身[1]。1973年に奈良女子大学理学部を卒業、1978年に京都大学大学院理学研究科を修了し博士号を取得した[4]。1978年に京都大学理学部助手、1992年に理学部助教授、1995年に大学院理学研究科助教授、1999年に大学院生命科学研究科教授に就任した[4]。稲葉は京都大学理学部初の女性助教授（准教授）だった[3]。1982年から2011年まで、ラルフ・スタインマン研究室の招聘教員だった[5]。彼女は京都大学の男女共同参画・国際・広報担当理事・副学長、および国際戦略室長を務めている[6]。日本免疫学会の理事である[7]。
