ヨハン・フリッツ

ヨハン・ペーター・フリッツ（Johann Peter Fritz）は、オーストリアのピアノ製作者。ウィーンで最も著名なピアノ製作者の1人だった[1]。彼のピアノは、品質の高さと旋律の美しさで高く評価された[2]。ジュゼッペ・ヴェルディがヨハン・フリッツのピアノを愛好し、1851年の『リゴレット』から1871年の『アイーダ』を作曲した時期まで、ウィーン風6本ペダルのフリッツ・ピアノを使用したことが知られている。このピアノは、イタリアのピアチェンツァ県に残るヴェルディ邸で見ることができる[3]。

フリッツの楽器は、ミラノの楽器博物館（英語版）、ボストン美術館、ケント州タンブリッジ・ウェルズ（英語版）にあるフィンチコックス（英語版）などで展示されており[4]、ポール・マクナルティが製作したヨハン・フリッツのピアノの現代の複製の一台は、ドイツのレーゲンスブルク大学（英語版）にある。

1834年にウィーンでヨハン・フリッツが亡くなった後[5]、息子のヨーゼフが会社を継承した。ヨーゼフは、1830年代後半（1837年以降）に作業所をグラーツに移した[5]。
