ボブ・ジェソップ（Bob Jessop, 1946年-）は、イギリスの社会学者、政治学者。専門は、政治社会学、マルクス主義政治理論、国家論。

人物[編集]

エクセター大学卒業後、ケンブリッジ大学で政治社会学を専攻し博士号を取得。ケンブリッジ大学、エセックス大学を経て、現在、ランカスター大学社会学部教授。同僚に、ジョン・アーリらがいる。夫人は、サム・アイリーン。

ランカスター赴任以前は、ニコス・プーランザスの国家論の批判的研究に取り組み、ネオ・マルクス主義の旗手として注目された。ジェソップの国家論には、フランス・レギュラシオン学派とともに、ニクラス・ルーマンのオートポイエーシス論が組み込まれている。

ランカスター赴任以後は、レギュラシオンからガバナンスを視座にして、グローバル化による時空間転換（「時空間的回避」）と資本主義国家の変容について討究を続けている。
