ブレイクボット（Breakbot, 本名: Thibaut Jean-Marie Michel Berland, 1981年10月5日 - ）[1][2]は、フランスのプロデューサー、DJ。2009年5月以降、エド・バンガー・レコーズ（英語版）と契約している[3]。

経歴[編集]

ブレイクボットは、コンピュータグラフィックスの大学であるスピンフォコム（英語版）で学んだ。ブレイクボットがウーリー・アトランとDamien Ferriéと共に監督をした短編の映画「Overtime」[4]は、 2005年のオタワ国際アニメーションフェスティバルの最優秀卒業作品賞と、2006年のシュトゥットガルト国際アニメーション映画祭の"Young Animation Award"を受賞した。ブレイクボットは広告や映像も製作した。

ブレイクボットは、リミックスによって最もよく知られている。ロイクソップ、デジタリズム、クローメオなどのアーティストの曲を加工した作品は最も人気がある[3]。Irfaneが主演しIrina Dakevaが監督した"Baby I'm Yours"のミュージック・ビデオは、フランスで夏のヒット曲となった。このミュージック・ビデオは2010年10月12日のUK Music Video Awardsで"Best budget pop/dance/urban video"と"Best animation in a video"にノミネートされた。

2008年にブレイクボットがプナウ（英語版）の"Baby"という曲をリミックスした作品と、ブレイクボットの"Penelope Pitstop"という曲が、レースゲームのグランツーリスモ5に採用された。

大衆文化におけるブレイクボットの立ち位置は、"Baby I'm Yours"と2012年のヒット曲であるブルーノ・マーズの"Treasure"（en）という2つの曲の類似に影響を受けている。"Treasure"は、"Baby, I'm Yours"との類似によって、ブレイクボットとIrfane Khan-Acitoをも作者に含んで米国作曲家作詞家出版者協会に再登録された[2][5]。
