Yokozuna Assassin Bugs(pseudo.), in the last instar nymph, sucking body fluid of the target under the bark of a cherry tree.

樹皮の小さな裂け目の下を獲物が通りかかるのを検知する能力が備わっているものと思われる．口吻はあくまで獲物を麻痺させ消化液を注入し体液を吸引するための器官であり、ゾウムシの様に木質に穴を開ける機能は備わっている様には見えない．

It seems that this assassin bug possesses ability to detect that target happens to pass by the bottom of the small slit of the bark of the tree. It is an organ that the rostrum of assassin bug paralyzes target and injects digestive juice, and to absorb body fluid. And the rostrum does not seem to be provided with the function to make a hole in the woody parts like snout beetle.
