ドナルド・アレキサンダー・マッケンジー（英語: Donald Alexander Mackenzie、1873年7月24日 - 1936年3月2日）は、スコットランドのジャーナリスト、民俗研究家。20世紀初頭に宗教、神話、人類学に関する多くの著作を残した。

経歴[編集]

ドナルド・アレキサンダー・マッケンジーはクロマーティ（英語版）にてA・H・マッケンジー (A.H. Mackenzie) とイソベル・マッケイ (Isobel Mackay) の息子として生まれた[1]。グラスゴーでジャーナリストとなり、1903年に『The North Star』 のオーナー兼編集者としてディングウォール（英語版）に移った[1]。1910年にはダンディーの『People's Journal』に移籍した。1916年からはエディンバラにてグラスゴーの新聞『The Bulletin』の代表を務めた。書籍、記事、詩を執筆する傍ら、しばしば講演も行い、ケルト神話について語る放送も行った。彼は、自分の関心のある分野における多くの専門家と友人関係にあった。彼の兄は、1913年から1935年までスコットランドの古代および歴史的記念建造物に関する王立委員会（英語版）[2]の事務局長 (Secretary) を務めたウィリアム・マッケイ・マッケンジー（英語版）であった。彼は1936年3月2日にエディンバラで亡くなり、クロマーティに埋葬された。
