サイモン・クリッチリー

サイモン・クリッチリー（Simon Critchley、1960年2月27日 - ）は、イギリスの哲学者である。専門は現象学、大陸哲学、フランス現代思想。

経歴

クリッチリーはイギリスのエセックス大学、フランスのニース大学で学び、エセックス大学で1987年に修士号を、ニース大学で1988年に博士号を取得した。修士論文ではハイデッガーとカルナップにおける形而上学の扱いを（この話は『ヨーロッパ大陸の哲学』でも触れられている）、博士論文ではレヴィナスとデリダにおける倫理学の脱構築を扱った。

その後、カーディフ大学のフェローになり、1985年にエセックス大学講師、1995年に助教授、1999年に教授になった。エセックス大学ではエルネスト・ラクラウと理論研究において協力した。1994年から1999年までイギリス現象学会の会長を務めた。2004年からニュー・スクール・フォー・ソーシャル・リサーチ教授。
